Screen-based design

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:

I was tasked with creating a fictional event and developing all the on-screen elements needed to promote it. This included designing the event’s logo and style guide, building a prototype for a mobile promotional site in Figma, and producing accompanying social media content.

Books & Brews

Books and Brews is a three-day celebration of fiction, coffee, and conversation. The festival takes place in one of Bergen’s oldest cafés. Discover new voices in literature through live readings, author interviews, and exclusive book announcements, all while enjoying the city’s best brews.

Mobile site

The mobile site consists of two main pages: an information page, presenting key event details and highlights, and a booking page, where users can easily purchase tickets and explore the schedule.

To simulate the user experience and demonstrate how the interface flows, please take a look at the prototype of the site using the link below.

PS: Remember to swipe left and right on the “Program“-section.

Social media develupment

I chose Instagram and Facebook as the primary social media platforms for promoting the festival. These channels fit the event well: Instagram allows for weekly updates, visual storytelling, and announcements, while Facebook makes it easy to create event listings for each festival segment and reach a wide local audience. Both platforms also align with the demographics commonly found in Bergen.
